5 Question Friday!!!

Ok I have to start today by saying...THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY!!!!  This has been a crazy, bad weather having, totally worn out week and I am sooooo glad it is over!!  We have a busy weekend ahead of us but I could really use some down time and a nice friend to chat with wouldn't hurt so bad either.  Anyone want to volunteer to be my friend?!  Haha just kidding!  I have friends here...sometimes...somewhere...ok ok I do..I think!!

1. Would you rather be on ABC's Extreme Home MakeOver or TLC's What not to Wear?

Well since we don't own our home and are currently living in government quarters I would say...neither!!  There is no way I would go on some show so they could tell me I am frumpy and sad looking...heck nahhhh!!!!  I know I dress frumpy on some days but really...I don't care!! If it is cleaning day or dirty errand day then heck yeah I am wearing sweats and a t-shirt so deal with it because I could care less what you think of me! So there!!  

2. Do you have any tattoos?

Ummmmmm let me say this nicely...HEEEEEEEECK NOOOOO!!!  Why anyone would sign up to pay someone to cause them pain is waaaay beyond me!! I have had enough needle pokes in my life that I had no choice about I am sure as heck not going to pick to have it done to me on purpose let alone pay for it to be done. Mr. M has some and I say he is nuts..nuts I tell ya!!

3. Do you tell your kids about things you did growing up?

Yes I do! What kind of a parent doesn't use their life experiences to help teach their kids. Telling my daughter about the time I walked around school half a day with my gym shirt wrapped around my waist because I ran out of cotton ponies and leaked all over my pants and couldn't go home until lunch time is a very good way to tell your daughter to..1. always have extra ponies on you at all times and 2. everyone has their emberassing moments and lived through them!

I know you really wanted to hear that story..ha ha sometimes I just love to shock! 

4. If the traffic signal turns yellow, do you stop or speed up?

Ok this is a tough one because well you see...here in Germany the lights are a little different. The lights so from red to yellow to green to go and you are allowed to start going when it turns yellow before green. Then of course they go from green to yellow to red but here once that light turns yellow it goes red super duper fast!  There is also of course the rule that if you get a ticket for running a red light over here you lose your liscense for a year and I am sure as heck not doing that!! I like to drive myself and not have to depend on anyone so yeah I guess what I am saying is..Yes, yes I stop for yellow lights or I go depending on which yellow light you are talking about.

5. What's your preference: chocolate or chips?

Oh definitely chocolate covered chips!! HaHA  bet you didn't see that one coming now did you!!??!!  So really have you ever had chocolate covered pringles?! OMG they are sooo good! Now honestly I almost never make them except for special occasions or the girls really ask for them and then I only make enough for them and leave it at that. I could eat a whole tube though by myself..for reals!!!

Ahhaaaah moments, bloggiversary and a giveaway..

Ok so I totally stole the ahhhhaaah moment thing from Oprah..sorry Oprah but I didn't think you would mind! I mean we are both the coolest chics out there so why would you right?!?!  Ok ok so anywho as I was sitting here just now trying to think of what fabulous things to share with you all for today I suddenly looked at the date and realized that yesterday was my 1 year boggiversary!!! OMG can you believe I totally forgot it?!?!?!   Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!!

I can not believe that I have been doing this now for a year and yet as strong as I had started out with my blogging and I am sure at first boring most of you to death..probably the reason my followers go up and down constantly...I am still blogging, and you all are still here listening....God bless you all!!!    I think my most favorite part about blogging is being able to connect with people all over the world and especially to learn from other military wives about where they have been or currently live and what adventures they have managed to make while there.

I really should do like a giveaway or something I mean that would only be appropriate right?!!?? Hmmm maybe I could pick something up on our travels next weekend..oh oh ok now the ideas are totally flowing.  Don't get too excited too fast though because I still need to figure out what to do.  Ok so I know you all are so super duper smart that you probably have ideas coming out your ears right?!  Because you are so cool you would love to share them with me right?!  Ok so please leave any ideas in a comment below and help a girl out..would ya?!!! Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase!!!!!

You might be a bad friend if...

.Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong?!  Well we had one of those weekends!  There were so many wonderful things on our list to do this weekend and we plans out the whazoo and yet it all seemed to come tumbling down and ended up so horribly wrong.

Friday DD2 was out of school for parent/teacher conferences and once we went to her conference and heard all the wonderful things she was doing and how well she was doing then we headed back home. The plan was to gather our shopping bags and head out to do a few errands and then spend a nice time together just her and I having lunch and talking about everything a 6 yr old thinks is important..ya know toys, animals and birthdays. As soon as we started home though she started complaining that her head hurt. So we get home and I get her something to eat so that I can give her something for her head but as soon as she is done eating she heads to her room and crashes. Yupp  our fun filled day of just her and I turned into me getting absolutely nothing accomplished and her sleeping all day. Ughhhh.
That night Mr. M and I had plans to go to a dinner and auction and DD2 was feeling fine after sleeping for 12 hours so we went ahead and went. It was a really good time and we sat with some great people and laughed the entire night. We didn't win a single thing...blasted!!  We still had fun though and so we headed home with smiles plastered on our faces.
Saturday morning came and after Mr. M made breakfast...that is his job if you didn't know...we were to be going bowling with some friends. Well that was about the time our phones started ringing off the hook.  If it wasn't Mr. M's work then it was family back in the States filling us in on some situations that were not so good. No offense but I am choosing to not go into any of that right now...well..because it is too raw right now and I have no idea how this is all going to turn out. So please excuse my illusiveness!!
Later that day I went to the commissary to get the rest of the supplies I needed to make a few dishes for that night because Mr. M and I were supposed to be going to a friendly get together with some good friends. While at the store we ran into another friend who once again decided to throw some news on us and this day was beginning to really get on my nerves. By the time we got home with all the food our moods were in the dumps! Neither of us felt like going out or dealing with anyone. We unplugged the phones because honestly we couldn't take anymore whining or complaining and so yes we did what we are not supposed to do...unplugged our lives!! Ha on all of you who have never done it!! It rocks!
So we chilled out Saturday night and watched some movies, played games with our girls and just took a breather from life. We went to bed feeling a little better then we had been feeling all day.
Sunday morning I woke up to a nice little message on facebook telling me about how disappointed someone was with our not having come to the get together and not having called to say we weren't coming. Really?!?!  If only they knew how crappy our weekend had turned out so far and how much stuff we had thrown in our faces all within a few hours of our lives but NOOOOOOO  they didn't even bother to ask they just went on to tell us how "disappointed they were in us" !  All I have to say to that is...."WTF EVER"!!!!
Of course that is like the worst way to wake up! By someone telling you that they are disappointed in you and besides the fact that your life has many other facets and things going on that they couldn't even imagine what all you had been through...heaven forbid!!!  Needless to say as the person I am I tried to let it go. Left her a vague comment and let it go.

I am NOT that person that loves drama therefor I will not drag it out or let it happen to me if I can at all help it!  I have not spoken to this person since and if I do speak with them it won't be anything negative on my part atleast because that is me...I have no problems letting stuff roll off my back and just be done with it! Life is waaaaay too short to bother even worrying about nonsense.
Because of everything else going on though I did also forget about going to the coffee shop to spend my friends last day of work with her...I do feel horrible about that but will send her a message just letting her know it was a bad weekend and how sorry I am.  Had I felt the need to appologize to anyone this weekend it would be her..the one who invited me and was probably waiting on me and whom didn't send me any nasty messages on facebook or even bother to ask where I was. She is just like me and probably just assumed that something came up..of course it was just the bad weekend making my brain disfunctional so I completely forgot!!

So there you have my wonderful friggin weekend!  I will say this to all of you out there..if someone is supposed to be somewhere and they don't show up do yourself and them a favor....give them a chance to explain before you go telling them how disappointed you are in them or lashing out without thinking!!!  Just sayin'!!!

Travel planning, travel agents, disappointment, and help needed!!!

Ok so I have been working so hard to not only plan our travel dates but then getting all the info, maps and preperations done as well.  I had been doing very well as far as finding some great hotels for fabulous prices until I got to the cruise part. You see we want to take a cruise for a few reasons. We thought it would be a great experience for the girls and something we had never done but also it would be an easy way to see some of the places we want to see but know we will never just go there on our own or else it would be very costly so the cruise would actually be cheaper. The problems just keep coming though!! Grrrrrr!  First all the different countries and their situations that are making a lot of our wants unable to come true so we have changed cruise plans so many times it wasn't even funny. Then as I go through the travel agency that was reccomended to me from a dear friend who has been on tons of cruises and swore this was the best one out there was so incredibley overprices it wasn't even funny.
I thought we had figured it all out and were just going to have a Greek Island cruise and be happy with that until the very nice man emailed me back asking for half of our vacation money for the entire year for just one vacay!!!  Ughhhhhhh!!  I am not going to spend half of our yearly travel budget on just one vacay!!! Are you crazy?!?!??!!!!!   Soooooo alas I am back to the start trying to figure out what to do next with our travel plans for the rest of the time.

Of course Mr. M said "We will just do London then and it's not a big deal"  Well, let me tell you honey about all the warnings going on about traveling to and from London or even Americans living in London so yes, yes it IS a big deal!!!  For pity sakes ya'll can't the world just get a long just long enough for us to have our travels and fun and then they can do whatever they feel they need to?!?! Is that too much to ask?!?!?!

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

So other then Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Poland and Berlin I am stuck!!!!

If anyone knows of a really good travel agent I would deeply appreciate you sharing the information with me!!!! I am lost and stuck and really need something to just go right for once and soon.

Ok so yesterday was a little bit busy since we went again hunting down more second hand shops around here so I never really did update on our trip to France. I have a few pics to show you of some stuff I got and I will just combine it with post it notes since I love them too much to just skip it for a day!! :)

Ok so this is leaning up against the wall because we haven't put it up yet but how cute is that shelf?!  I love it to death!! Yes it is real solid wood and heavy but oh so cute. I will show it to you once we get it put up and decorated.

Ok so I bought these old French books and this old looking box. I thought they were cute and I have this whole decor idea in my head of when we actually get back to the States and  I can set up all my goodies from our travels.  I want to set up all my mini monuments like the Eiffel tower, arc de triomphe, etc along with some old books from that country and our travel books and maps together.  It's my idea and in my head it looks good so don't judge my craziness ya'll!



Ok so there were tons of things that I really wanted to get while we were in France but alas we ran out of truck space. Another trip is planned and soon so that we may bring 2 trucks this time and load up on all the goodies.
