Milan, Italy

Ok so today I will share with you our adventures in Milano, Italy!  We stayed at quaint little hotel in Milan and there were some very interesting elements to the room. Like the face that it took us about 30 minutes to figure out how to turn the lights on...yupp I said it!! Crazy Americans couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on in our hotel!!! It was funny!!  Really!!  So this...

was the key card holder just inside the door that we finally figured out was the way to turn all the electric on in the room!! Can you say duhhh?!!!  Yeah we felt silly once we finally figured it out!










Once we got all of our stuff unloaded and were able to pee with light..it totally makes a difference especially to men!! :)  We headed off on foot to find the metro...I really do love the metro and am sad we don't have more of them in the US.  We figured out where to go and were soon standing in front of the biggest, most gorgeous building I had ever seen in my life...Duomo!!

Can you see why we stood there for a few minutes with our mouths opened wide?!!  Fabulous and gorgeous and we felt just in awe in front of the building!










Right next to Duomo was the galleria....

where they have Gucci, Prada and so many other stores that just made my wallet drool!! Of course once it was done drooling it hid for dear life.  I found one gorgeous dress that I would loved to have had but...

the dress... and....

the price!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEks!!!!  Could you imagine?!!!  Ohhhh how I wanted that dress just to have it!!  But alas it was not meant to be..sniff sniff!











So we moved on to find the bull in the floor tiles.  We had read online all about how their was a bull made of tiles on the floor of the galleria and it was a tradition to spin on the bull's balls...yes I said it..his balls!!!  Apparently this will bring you good luck..who doesn't need more of that right?!! So we headed out on our journey to find it. It didn't take very long either as you see a crowd of people all spinning and taking pics we figured we had found it and here he was....

Now you can see that there is a gigantic hole where normally his balls would be because of people constantly spinning on them.  The girls didn't understand at first but once they saw people spinning then they were all in!!  Hopefully we have given ourselves some good luck now...we shall see!!






This last picture from Milan that I will leave you with is the cutest darn pizza box I have ever seen in my life!! Mr. M would not allow me to keep it..something about dirty, greasy, messy and bugs but anywho...I took a pic instead!  The pizza was fabulous and we wanted to take some home but again Mr. M and his silly rules about trash..sheeesh he can be such a bugger at times!!

Ok seriously ya'll don't you just love that box?!!!  I wish I could have shared some of the pizza with you but I dare not try to send it in the mail..hehe that would be funny though!!

So other then a lot of walking and tons of shopping and good nights rest that is pretty much it for Milan.  We had a fabulous time there and I will continue throughout the rest of the week with Pisa, shopping, food, and of course our run in with the Pilizia..teeheee  Mr. M is hilarious with cops!!!
