I can so relate on the kitchen size... we have been livig with a make shift kitchen for over 6 months during renovations ... and I'm actually thankful I'm not allowed to use the stove (due to accident , I tend to forget and have actually got in my SUV while pasta boils away on stove).. for it would certainly drive me insane to cook on the 2 burner hot plate Mr. G. has been using.

My husband forgets to do those kinds of things all the time - drives me crazy! I swear they have no memory - short or long term!
Dude, I believe the sooner you come to the kitchen hating revelation, the better. Trust me.
I have always had a small kitchen, every place I have lived. It is definitely easier to clean. It seems the people I know who don't cook or bake have the largest kitchens, funny how that works.
Congrats on selling the apples! Sorry about the tiny kitchen. I love a big kitchen too and refuse to live in a place without one. I don't know what I will do if we get stationed overseas.
