I am having a grand time with this years blog party and so glad to have met all the fabulous bloggers out there. It just started so I have so many to get to and I am happy to be finding new places to follow and enjoy seeing all the fabulous designs on people's blogs. I am kind of jealous actually and thinking of redoing my blog maybe just a little bit. I do adore my blog design and have to give a huge shout out to Casey for making my design. She does fabulous work and you all should go and check her out.
So many of you I have found are milspouses yourself or used to be and I am loving the opportunities to get to know each and every one of you. I love the huge support network I have found here on blogger with more military wives and all of us sharing our experiences with each other. Don't get me wrong I am not only interested in milspouse blogs but it does make the world seem just a little bit smaller to meet such fabulous women who are so far away from me and yet so close and kind.
Last night Mr. M and I went to a spouses club dinner and this one was themed "You're a star"! I love the themes that they do for these things because it makes it so much more fun to go to and it gives me an outlet to be a little crazy and show some of myself. I really wanted to wow people last night so I had a friend help me go and find a hair piece to wear and I bought a gorgeous dress to go with it. I had my normally short hair all pulled up with this gorgeous long hair piece and it looked sooo great!! I had so many compliments I am sure I was blushing by the end of the night. Dinner was great, the people were great and watching all the volunteers get honored was really humbling. I love to volunteer and really do not like a big deal made out of it at all. I like to be one of those people who does what I do and let's just leave it at that. Well last night I crawled out of my shell and took a chance and now I will be the next year's 1st VP for the spouses club and I couldn't be more excited to do it!! It was an honor to be asked to do something and I jumped into it full steam ahead. I know it is going to a year to remember and I can not wait to get started on it.
Along with that position I was asked to be President for the PTSA for the middle school. If you remember from my previous blog I am actually being honored as volunteer of the year for the middle school this year. I did a lot of work and enjoyed every minute of it. It did however take up a huge chunk of my time and I do not think I could possibly do both positions. It is very humbling for people to ask me to take positions and I appreciate the confidence they are showing in me. Staying back in the shadows and just doing what I thought needed to be done has always been rewarding enough for me but this shall be the year that I truly step out and make myself known. I am so excited and I really think the next year is going to be grand.
Now I did have several pictures taken last night however, I do not have them yet so please keep checking back and hopefully soon I will have them for you.
To all my newest followers....welcome and thank you so much for letting me share just a little bit of my life with you. I will get to each and every one who commented on my page and all the others I have yet to get to as well. We have some things going on this weekend but I will get to it I promise!!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!! If I can say anything inspiring to any of you it would be to take a chance, step out of your comfort zone and you might just be amazed at all the good things that happen.
