5 Question Friday!!

Yayyyyyyy and double Yayyyyyy!!  I am sooooooo happy that Friday finally got here!  I swear I didn't think I was ever going to see it again. Why is it when you wake up super early in the morning it seems that the days go by slower...ok ok don't get all smarty pants on me and say "because the earlier you wake up the longer the days are" I know that..duhhhh!!!  I am talking about making it through the first week of school with my kids all fine and dandy and we crashing into my bed every night like I moved a house that day..INSANE!!!!  I did make it through the week though and even managed to survive a few old bitties trying to take me down with their harsh words and bad attitudes!! Of course even though I try and try again there will apparently always be people in my life trying to stir up some kind of drama and me having to do like I always do..walk away with a smile on my face like I didn't even hear what they said!!  Seriously ya'll it is a lot harder then it sounds especially when people lie about you to others...breathe in, breathe out...not going there though I am better then that..yupp..I am good!!  No wait..I am FABULOUS!!!  I do not need anyone's approval to know who I am or what I am so all you mean spirited folks out there can keep that nonsense to yourselves because I am DONE with you all!!!!  So there!! haha on you!!

Ok sorry ya'll but I am excited for the weekend and Mr. M is off for a 4 day...Hallelujah!!!!!  The girls still have school today though so we actually get some time together with no kids..what to do..hmmmmm...PARTY!!!  hehe yeah right!  Errands it is!! lol






Now it's that time of the week where we all go over and visit Mama M not only because she is fabulous, funny and too darn cute but because we love her blog and her questions ..well let's just be honest we love them!!!  So here goes.....

1. What do you do when you have time to yourself?

I  have time to myself everyday when the girls go to school and Mr. M is at work. So basically I go to the gym, clean house, run errands, hang out with friends, go the doctor, go shopping, or anything else that needs to be done or I want to do. I love mommy time!!!

2. When you look out your kitchen window, what do you see?

Out my kitchen window I can see the park that is between our buildings. See here in mil housing overseas we live in stairwell apartments. It's so exciting..NOT and of course we live on the 3rd floor with no elevators ya'll..are you dying yet?!!!

3. Who/What would you want to be reincarnated as?

Ohh ok well this one if not obvious to you all is so dang easy for me...I want to be a little bitty bug..flea,knat, whatever is small and can't be seen so I can listen in on what everyone is saying and then I want to be sure I have a lot of mean freinds like bees,wasps,or mosquitos who will bite all the mean people in the world!!  Yupp that's all I can say about that ya'll it's been a long week!! sighhhhhhhhhh

4. What is your biggest pet peeve about other people's kids?

Wow again another easy one for me this week...that would be when people do not discipline their kids when needed!!  If your child is climbing on something they shouldn't be don't make ME tell them to get off of it do your dang job as a parent who by the way should want to keep their kids safe and tell them to get off of it already!!!!  It's not rocket science ya'll it's called being a parent...learn how to do it!!!

5. Regular or Diet soda?

Ok so I don't buy soda for our house. Occasionally we will have soda when we eat out or go somewhere where soda is the only option and in that case I always choose diet or the new stuff like coke zero.

What time is it?!!

Ok so Wednesdays usually are my ramble days right?!! Yupp you are so getting a ramble day folks!!

I spent all summer trying to keep my kids happy and busy and occupied all the while I was rushing around on a daily basis helping new people get settled and doing things for the PTSA for DD1's school.  The summer flew by so fast it was not even funny and I mean NOT funny!! Where did it go?!  I swear one day ran right into the other and I know somewhere in there we had a few trips and some fun but still..for real?!!!  I feel like I totally missed out on my summer. What happened to my sleeping in?  Where did my ME time go?!   Dagnabbit I missed a whole summer with the exception of Italy of course..which was FABULOUS if you didn't read my blog then you should really go back and read it!!  Why?! Because as I said it was fabulous..duh!!!

So Fall weather is here and school has started. The girls seem to really like their teachers which is a total bonus because all of us know if your kids doesn't like their teacher you are in for a loooong year!!  So we are doing great on that front so far(crossing fingers).

I am very busy with the PTSA and getting things accomplished..I swear it never ends with them!!  I love to volunteer and help out any way I can but sometimes it feels like everyone is doing whatever they want and I am stuck holding the ball on everything.  We have a fabulous President this year and I truly adore her. She has been right there with me all summer running our little tushies off and getting things ready for the upcoming year. The rest of them..well I really can't say anything about them because I haven't been with them enough to say anything about them really.  I am really hoping for a fabulous year and hoping that everything we have planned goes well for us. I can tell you this though folks...I will NEVER do this again!! Next time someone asks me to be on a PTSA board I will volunteer for some other job that doesn't take much work. Fundraising is a flipping killer!! sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Other then that I am busily trying to plan our Spring break for the school year and we are hoping to take a cruise as long as I can find what we want for a price I am willing to pay for it.  Hey anyone out there have a fabulous website I can check out?!  Any ideas for a 5 to 7 day Mediterranean cruise?   Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to have it booked before Christmas just to know when we are going and what all I still will need to do to get ready for it.

5 Question Friday!!

Oh dear lord I am so happy that Friday is finally here! I was so stressed out about this whole week and everything that I had going on with it. My week is hardly done but atleast I made it to Friday..Yay me!!
Thank you to everyone who wished me Happy bday yesterday..you guys are the bestest!! As far as Mr. M goes he totally made up for the crappy morning I had yesterday and took me to my favorite restaurant with one of my favorite people, Mrs. Jamiacagirl! On top of that I had so many friends that called to wish me happy birthday yesterday and I received oodles of gift cards for Java..woot woot!!!  For those of you who don't know Java is like our Starbucks over here and I am such a frequent customer that I don't even have to order anymore they just start making my coffee when I walk through the door..it's like my Cheers and I am Norm!!  Love it really!!  So my coffee addiction is taken care of for a few weeks and I made it through the day without hurting anyone...I call that a great birthday!! :)




Now let's get to the fabulous Mama M and her fabulous Friday 5 questions...

1. How many pets do you have?

We have 2 cats right now, Tiger and TJ. It is wierd because we have always had a dog and a cat but we lost our beloved daisy a little while before we came to Germany and we just haven't had the heart to get a new dog yet.

This was our dear sweet Daisy! RIP girl!

2. If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?

For just one day I would love to be Oprah!! Ok seriously ya'll who wouldn't want to know what her life is like on a daily basis?!!

3. What is your favorite money saving tip?

Hmmmm I have so many tips that I have been given or discovered on my own and use them every day. I guess my best one would be to never buy anything on impulse! If you want it then take the time to think about it first and if you really need it and if you can afford it and if the answer is still yes after all of that then by all means go get it! This has saved me numerous times from buying junk I don't need or really want even.

4. What do you want your kids to be when they grow up?

My only wish for my girls is that they find a man who will treat them like they are the world! I would love for them to both have fabulous jobs and great families but the most important thing to me is just that they be happy!

5. What is your favorite quote?

Ohh wow I have a few of those that I repeat daily to either myself or someone else if need be.  I guess I would have to say the one I say over and over daily to myself is "do unto others as you would want done unto you"!  It's all about how we treat others as to how we are going to be treated and I absolutely feel that if you smile at someone no matter who they are that they in turn will do the same without even realizing it.  Yeah yeah I am all about making the world a better place so get off my hiney!! :)

It's my birthday and I'll wine if I want to!!!!

Ok all you grammar police out there..that is NOT a typo!!! :)  It is my birthday and even though I despise celebrating birthdays since I turned..errrrr...29 I am going to make today special!  I have been saying to Mr. M all week "do not do anything special for my birthday I am too old for that stuff"!  Ok so secretly I am a total kid at heart but alas apparently my words hit a chord with him and so far for my birthday...Nothing from Mr. M!  sniff sniff

I did however have the nicest surprise when DD1 decided to bring me breakfast all nice and pretty on a tray. I was not in bed since I always wake up before everyone else in the house so she brought it to me on the sofa and said "so no breakfast in bed but I did bring you breakfast at computer"  How sweet is that?!!!  I loves my babies!!!  Once I was done with the fabulous breakfast she made me herself...so proud..*insert tears of joy*  she promptly took my tray and all the dishes away.  My kids rock!!!

Now getting back to Mr. M and his nonsense listening to me about not wanting anything...I woke up to a sink with dirty dishes in it (left there last night totally on purpose to see if he would do them for me on bday) and nothing else!! No note to say Happy birthday!  No anything!  For real?!!!  I give up! To say I was shocked and a little upset would be a TOTAL understatement!!  We shall see how the rest of my day pans out and hopefully he will have some grand surprise for me later. If not then be ready for the vent of the century coming tomorrow!!

Did I mention my age?!! Nope!! Haha I said I stopped counting at 29 people now come on!! Hehe

Shopping Italiano style!!

Ok so for days now I have been telling you all about the pics I would show you of the goodies I got in Italy...it's heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeee!!!  Hehe!!

So yes I did find my camera..the blasted guy was hiding out behind a huge box of stuff I have been working on for PTSA..whoooooole other story but anywho...here are some of the stuff we got while in Italy.

ok so this was actually bought in Switzerland...I honestly have no idea what significance the bottle or the rocks hold for Switzerland and if anyone does know please feel free to share with me..I just thought it was really cute! 

So our first stop was Milano, Italy and I fell in love with this tote bag! It is so comfortable and holds all kinds of goodies so it's great. It also made me happy that it was waterproof since you know it did rain the entire time we were there..yay for good finds!!

Ok so we collect the mini monuments everywhere we go...corny maybe but I love them!  Here is the mini Duomo in Milan, the leaning tower of Pisa in stone and crystal and then the trio from Pisa.  Love them!!!

Now while in Pisa of course the markets were in full force and these little guys were screaming for me to buy them..seriously!!  One has grapa and the other has lemoncella liquor. I just had to have them since the bottles are shaped like the leaning tower..I mean could you resist?!!!







We also bought the books all about the stuff like we always do. I love to travel and see all the stuff in real life but having a book with the history of the places we go is just the icing on the cake!


So today has been busy, crazy, dramatic and draining so far and it is only half way over....CALGOOOON!!!!!!
